What happens if you "skip" or "jump" bail?

To "skip" or "jump" bail is a slang term that means that the defendant has failed to appear in court as scheduled and according to the terms of the bail bond agreement. When the defendant jumps bail, the court can revoke the bail bond (demanding full payment of the bail bond) and issue a warrant for the arrest of the defendant.

Do I need an attorney when posting bail?

It is not legally necessary to have an attorney present when posting bail.
